SittingPay

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 1, 2026

SittingPay is building a service that helps owner-operators collect the detention pay brokers owe them. This page explains what we collect while you use this site and what we do with it. Plain language, no lawyer required.

What we collect

  • Your answers to the five questions — how often you sit, how long, how many loads you run, how collecting goes, and how you run. We store these before you tell us who you are, keyed to an anonymous id in a cookie.
  • Your mobile number, saved as soon as you finish typing it — including if you close the page before finishing the form. See Unfinished forms below.
  • Your name, when you give it.
  • Technical details sent by your browser: IP address, browser and device type, the page that sent you here, and any campaign tags (utm_source, fbclid) on the link you arrived on.

We do not ask for and do not want your MC number, DOT number, Social Security number, bank details, or any load documents. Not yet — and never through this form.

Unfinished forms

If you type a complete mobile number and then leave without pressing Hold my spot, we keep the number. We do this so a dropped signal or a dock waving you in doesn't cost you your place in line.

We will not text a number captured this way.Pressing the button is what gives us permission to message you; without it, the number is used only to count how many drivers reached that screen and to measure our advertising. Email us and we'll delete it.

Text messages

When you press Hold my spot, you agree to receive text messages from SittingPay about your place on the waitlist. We expect to send you one, when your spot opens. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop them, or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of anything you buy.

Who else sees it

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram). We advertise there, so we report conversions back to Meta to measure which ads work. Your phone number and name are hashed(SHA-256) before they are sent — Meta receives a fingerprint it can match against its own records, not your number. We also send your IP address, browser type, and Meta's own advertising cookies. We apply Meta's Limited Data Use flag so state privacy laws are respected where they apply.
  • PostHog, our product analytics provider, which records which screens you reach, which answers you tap, and how long each screen takes — so we can tell where this form is confusing. It receives your answers, your device and browser type, your IP address and an anonymous id. It never receives your name or your phone number: if you join the waitlist, your activity is labelled with a random id instead. There is no screen recording on this site.
  • Amazon Web Services, which hosts the server this site runs on.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with brokers, carriers, factoring companies, insurers, or lead buyers.

Cookies

One first-party cookie holds an anonymous id so we can tell which answers belong together. Our analytics provider stores a second anonymous id in your browser for the same purpose. The Meta Pixel sets its own cookies (_fbp, _fbc) to attribute ad clicks; where it is blocked, we create equivalent first-party values ourselves so our own ad reporting still works. There is no Google Analytics here, and no third-party advertising network other than Meta.

Our analytics requests are served from a path on this domain (sittingpay.com/dock) rather than from the provider's own address. That is a measurement decision, not a way around your settings: it keeps our own numbers usable when a blocklist would otherwise drop them. Nothing extra is collected because of it, and the deletion request below covers everything described on this page.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries are kept until we launch and contact you, or until you ask us to delete them. Numbers captured from unfinished forms are kept no longer than 12 months.

Your choices

Ask us to show you what we have, correct it, or delete it, at any time and for any reason — email [email protected]. If you are in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas or another state with a privacy law, those rights are yours by statute and we honor them for everyone regardless.

Children

This site is for commercial drivers and is not directed at anyone under 18.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Contact: [email protected].
